Tangerine Education Center Performs “The Lorax”

A delightful version of Dr. Suess’s “The Lorax” was performed on April 15th by the children of the Tangerine Educational Center. Lorax indeed spoke for the trees and when all said and done, the production was able to raise over $700 for the Asilo de Ancianos, the government-run elderly center in Isla Colón. The money was raised to help cover the costs of food and toiletries. Jeanne Sohmer and volunteers were kind enough to escort the members of the Asilo across town so they could sit front row and center and enjoy the theatrical performance. And enjoy the night they did as many of the Asilo residents were dancing and singing along to the show. Music was performed by Rice and Beans and a great time was had by all.  Many thanks to the director Augustine, Bea Fink and the staff and children of Tangerine.
