The Isla Carenero 5th grade students won themselves a classroom laptop!

 

The 5th and 6th grade teachers ran a five-day science class educating students on Garbage and the Environment.  Days later, the students got to work picking up trash around the island. Isla Carenero is now 38 jumbo trash bags lighter of garbage.  These students will continue this project.  Join their effort through donation by visiting the Give and Surf website: http://giveandsurf.org. Donate through PayPal friends and family, noting Meals and More (garbage), or walk over to the Office of Virginia Vasquez, next to the Police station, with your donation. Mention the Meals and More Program and garbage.  Way to go students and teachers for doing your part to make Bocas del Toro as beautiful as it can be!

Los estudiantes de quinto grado de Isla Carenero se ganaron una laptop!

Los maestros de quinto y sexto grado dieron una clase de ciencias por 5 días para educar a los estudiantes sobre La basura y el medio ambiente. Días después, los estudiantes se pusieron a trabajar recogiendo basura alrededor de la isla. Isla Carenero ahora tiene 38 bolsas de basura de tamaño jumbo menos.
