Join The Darklands Foundation for the fourth annual celebration of cacao production and chocolate making in the region of Bocas del Toro: Showcolate, an international chocolate fair.

September 30, 2023, is a day of celebration and raising awareness of the importance of the local cacao industry’s role in rain forest conservation and economic opportunities for native Bocatoreños.

Local and international chocolate makers participate in a chocolate confection contest. All the attendees get to sample each entry. There are presentations about cacao, exhibitions, workshops, chocolate themed cocktails and live music. Money is raised to support The Darklands Foundation’s efforts to support the advancement of industrial opportunities to the Ngäbe-Buglé indigenous people (particularly women).

This event takes place at the LostBoys Blues Bar, also known as Casa Chocolate, located at the PirateArts Experience resort on Carenero Island.
