Editor’s Note December 2013

Editor noteFor many, the holiday season means Menorahs or mangers, Santa Clause and Christmas trees. But for me, December is a time to reflect on the year that’s past. I cannot help but be thankful for all the joyous occasions over the past year: a beautiful new niece, a permanent home, a new business partner, another puppy (which I’m still on the fence about). Meanwhile I always consider the things I would have done differently thus promising myself not to have those same regrets when next December comes.

Though I’ve lived in Bocas a few years now, this will be my first holiday season here. With my own family and traditions thousands of miles away the holidays don’t have that old familiar feeling. So while I’m missing old traditions, I’m also excited to make new ones here with people who are most certainly family.

May your holiday season surround you with love, laughter, and memories that will last forever. The New Year brings new light and hope for us all, and it stands before us like a chapter of a book that has yet to be written.

Happy Holidays,

Casie Dean, Editor
