Editor’s Note – September 2013

The remains of Yvonne Baldelli were found in late August on the far end of Carenero, or “Brown Point”, as the police department refers to it, an area that had not been previously searched. Yvonne was missing since November 2011 after permanently relocating to Bocas with her boyfriend, Brian Brimager, an ex-Marine, now in custody in California for obstruction of justice. Yvonne was an incredibly happy person, smiley and polite. Our community mourns the tragedy of her death and hopes for justice. As for us here at The Bocas Breeze, we have made the decision to not publish crime scene or other sensitive photos out of respect for Yvonne, her family, and the Bocas community. I personally hope for the extradition of the suspect to Panama so he may be convicted of this horrible crime.
