La Tierra del Encanto

La Tierra del Encanto ("Land of Enchantment") is an emerging eco-adventure destination set in the lush jungles and pristine waters of Bocas del Toro, Panama. Founded by Jeremy and Tessa, this unique retreat blends a passion for conservation with unforgettable nature adventures. Visitors can choose from both guided and self-guided hikes along clearly marked trails that meander through untouched rainforests, past thriving banana groves and cacao trees, all while offering panoramic ocean views.

Trail highlights include the family-friendly “Walk With Giants,” where hikers stroll along a gentle river under towering, ancient trees that create a majestic canopy overhead. The “Waterfall” hike provides an exhilarating experience with its tropical foliage, exotic wildlife, a thrilling rope bridge, and a refreshing swimming hole featuring the coldest water in the area—a true delight for adventurers of all ages. For those seeking an extra challenge, the “Playa Larga” trail offers a rugged journey through muddy paths, swamp crossings, and shallow streams before culminating at the serene, unspoiled shores of Playa Larga. (Note: Boots are required for this trail, and rentals are available.)

Trail access is $10 per adult and $5 per child and guests may also enhance their adventure by hiring an experienced guide at $20 per hour (serving up to 10 people per session) to gain deeper insights into the local flora and fauna. Open daily from 7 AM until 6 PM, the destination also offers custom guided hikes, allowing visitors to tailor their exploration—whether it’s a journey from the eco-lodge to Playa Larga and the nearby Red Frog Beach or an expedition to the freshwater lake in the Marine National Park.
