The Foundation at Red Frog is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to fostering sustainable development, cultural preservation, and environmental protection within Bocas del Toro, Panama. Through strategic community projects, the Foundation addresses essential needs in public education, healthcare, and environmental stewardship. Guided by a proactive, all-volunteer Board of Trustees, the Foundation ensures impactful and enduring improvements across the region.
Since its re-establishment in 2016, The Foundation at Red Frog has worked alongside community leaders and nonprofits, including The Darklands Foundation, Caribbean Coral Restoration, Unidos por Bocas, Give and Surf, and the Bocas Arts and Music Academy (BAMA).
Key Initiatives:
- Education: Provides scholarships, teacher funding, and supports Give and Surf's summer camps and after-school programs.
- Vocational Training: Funds for sewing and sous-chef programs at Colegio Rogelio Josue Ibarra, supporting skills in tailoring, upholstery, and culinary arts for local industries.
- Environmental Sustainability: Backing recycling efforts with Unidos por Bocas, including funding a recycling truck and paving pathways at schools.
- Clean Water Access: Supports water systems on Isla Popa with the Darklands Foundation, delivering potable water to reduce water-borne diseases and promoting self-sustaining clean water access.
- Coral Restoration: With Caribbean Coral Restoration, funds equipment to revitalize coral ecosystems.
- Arts and Music: Sponsors Bocas Arts and Music Academy, funding ukuleles and supporting instructors.
