The international recognition obtained by Bambuda Lodge is also a recognition of the community of Bocas del Toro, which forms the foundation and heart of the hotel’s operations, and whose constant support has been essential for local projects to continue growing with positive impact.

It is an achievement that extends not only to employees, suppliers, and community organizations, but also to local authorities who accompany and promote the responsible development of the destination. The joint work between the private sector, the community, and authorities has made it possible to continue improving Bocas’ reputation as one of the most authentic destinations in the country.

This recognition, granted on the basis of thousands of real guest reviews, highlights not only the quality of the facilities and service, but also the authentic experience that Bambuda Lodge offers in the heart of the archipelago.

Located on Isla Solarte, the lodge has become a benchmark for responsible tourism in the region, combining nature, community, and hospitality in a unique seafront setting.

A hospitality model with a long-term vision

Bambuda Lodge is part of TASØ Hospitality Group, a group that develops and operates immersive hotel projects in Central America, with a clear vision of creating long-term value for guests, staff, investors, and local communities.

Beyond hospitality, TASØ integrates ESG principles (environmental, social, and governance) into its business strategy, betting on a model of responsible and sustainable growth. The group is currently in the process of applying for B Corp certification, reaffirming its commitment to high standards of social and environmental impact.

Commitment to Bocas del Toro

Every project developed, every experience designed, and every strategic decision is deeply connected to the people, culture, and environment that make the archipelago unique.

For TASØ, business growth only makes sense when it also generates value for the surrounding community. For this reason, the group works actively with local organizations to create a positive impact in the region.

Among its main initiatives are partnerships with local organizations such as Keep Bocas Wild, supporting wildlife protection and the construction of a Sloth Rescue Center on Isla Colón, and Give and Surf, contributing to access to quality education for children and young people in vulnerable communities through donations.

Additionally, Bambuda Lodge has joined an initiative led by Sol Bungalows to build a sports pavilion at the Isla Solarte school, a project that aims to expand recreational and developmental spaces for the community’s children and youth.

At the same time, the group is promoting an active environmental sustainability strategy that includes the implementation of solar panels, the reduction of single-use plastics, and responsible energy and waste management practices in all its hotels.
