Casco Capital Group Assumes Lease, Paving the Way for Red Frog Beach’s Renewal

Red Frog Beach, the archipelago’s premier resort, enters a promising new chapter as Casco Capital Group took charge, effective December 1, 2023. This transition marks a significant milestone, brimming with prospects for rejuvenation and expansion under fresh stewardship.

With a sterling reputation in hospitality management, Casco Capital Group brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to the table. Their journey began with the successful management of Gran Hotel Bahia in Bocas Del Toro, where they weathered the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and emerged stronger. Amidst adversity, they cultivated resilience, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for community engagement.

Arcenio Beker, Casco’s General Manager at Grand Hotel Bahia and Bocas Del Toro native, reflects on their journey, acknowledging the initial hurdles and the invaluable lessons learned: “The quiet period allowed us to connect with the Bocas community, laying the groundwork for future success by integrating local culture into our hospitality offering.”

As a family-led enterprise, Casco Capital Group prioritizes meaningful connections with the communities they serve. Their tenure at Gran Hotel Bahia emphasized the importance of collaboration and inclusivity, values they intend to uphold at Red Frog Beach.

Erwyn Mackee, CEO of Casco Capital Group, sees Red Frog Beach as a crown jewel in need of refinement: “Our experience at Gran Hotel Bahia prepared us to overcome challenges and elevate Red Frog to new heights. We’re committed to making this already special resort even more remarkable.”

The transition signifies an opportunity to strengthen Red Frog Beach’s bond with the Bocas Del Toro community.
Casco Capital Group aims to foster connectivity, stimulate commerce, and forge partnerships that benefit the region as a whole.

For example, Casco Capital Group has recently supported community initiatives in Bahia Roja by constructing a dining area for the school and renovating its bathrooms. The upcoming phase will focus on implementing rainwater catchment and filtration systems.

Mario Jonas, new Co-GM and Bocas Del Toro native, expresses enthusiasm for the future: “I’m proud to continue my journey at Red Frog Beach. With Casco Capital Group’s leadership, I’m confident we can overcome past struggles and create an even better experience.”

With optimism and dedication, Casco Capital Group embarks on this transformative journey, poised to unlock Red Frog Beach’s full potential. Their collaborative approach, coupled with a commitment to excellence and service, promises a bright future for the resort and its surroundings.

Erwyn Mackee emphasizes the symbiotic relationship between Red Frog Beach and the Bocas del Toro community: “We envision Red Frog as an asset for the community, driving economic growth while preserving its unique ecosystem. Our goal is to ensure that Red Frog remains a cherished destination for generations to come.”

Casco Capital Group extends gratitude to all supporters and partners, looking forward to realizing their shared vision of excellence at Red Frog Beach.
